Hip

Hip pain and stiffness — hip osteoarthritis, greater trochanteric pain syndrome, gluteal tendinopathy and femoroacetabular impingement — assessed and treated with a graded loading approach.

Hip Conditions We Treat

Hip osteoarthritis

Groin pain, morning stiffness, reduced walking distance — managed with education, targeted strength work and injection where appropriate.

Greater trochanteric pain syndrome

Lateral hip pain, painful to lie on. Gluteal tendinopathy ± trochanteric bursitis — responds to loading and injection.

Gluteal tendinopathy

Chronic tendon pain at the greater trochanter — heavy-slow-resistance loading is first-line.

Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI)

Groin pain on deep flexion and rotation in younger, active patients.

Iliopsoas / adductor strain

Groin and anterior hip pain in runners, footballers and kicking-sport athletes.
