Clinic Assistant Musculoskeletal Primary Care

Be the operational backbone of a new musculoskeletal clinic: chaperone and assist the doctor through procedures, keep the treatment room and stock in order, and run the front desk and claims.

A hands-on hybrid role for someone who wants clinical exposure alongside real ownership of clinic operations, and who is comfortable being one of the first hires in a clinic that is still being built.

Working hours

Six-day week. Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri 10:00am–6:30pm (lunch 1:00–2:00pm). Sat and Sun 10:00am–1:00pm. Wednesdays and public holidays closed. Roster arrangements may be agreed from time to time.

Reports to

Inflexion Health Group management, working day to day in direct support of the clinic doctor.

The Role

What You Will Do

Clinical support and procedure assistance

Prepare and turn over consultation and procedure rooms; take vital signs and basic measurements
Chaperone and assist the doctor during joint injections and trigger point procedures: trolley set-up, aseptic skin preparation, consumables and sharps
Set up and log shockwave (ESWT) and other therapeutic sessions
Monitor patients after procedures, escalate any reaction to the doctor and apply simple dressings under direction
Run instrument decontamination, infection control routines and clinical waste segregation
Help keep the clinic ready for MOH and HCSA inspection: checklists, logs and emergency trolley checks

Inventory, dispensing and stock control

Own day-to-day stock of consumables, injectables, dressings, PPE and clinic supplies: par levels, purchase orders, goods receipt and invoice reconciliation
Run cycle counts and periodic stock-takes; manage expiry with first-expired-first-out rotation
Maintain the cold chain with daily fridge temperature logs and excursion reporting
Assist with dispensing under the doctor's supervision and keep records for prescription-only and controlled items
Track consumable use per procedure and liaise with suppliers and service vendors

Clinic system, front desk and claims

Register patients, manage appointments and keep clinical and billing entries accurate in the clinic system (we run Plato; experience on any Singapore clinic system is welcome and we will train you)
Prepare and submit MediSave, MediShield Life and CHAS claims; monitor and resubmit rejections
Handle corporate, insurer and third-party administrator billing, including letters of guarantee and outstanding accounts
Take payment, reconcile daily collections and the cash float, and prepare the daily takings report
Manage PDPA consent and medical record confidentiality
Answer calls, WhatsApp and email enquiries, triaging clinical questions to the doctor; support patient recall and follow-up

Patient experience and clinic operations

Set the tone at the front desk: greet patients by name and manage waiting-time expectations
Keep the reception and clinical areas clean, stocked and presentable
Help refine and document clinic procedures and suggest workflow improvements
Support opening and closing routines, equipment checks and end-of-day security
Take on reasonable ad hoc duties as the clinic grows

Requirements

What We Are Looking For

Essential

GCE N or O Level or equivalent; a Nitec or Higher Nitec in Nursing or Healthcare, or a WSQ Healthcare Support qualification, is an advantage
At least 1–2 years in a Singapore clinic, specialist practice, day surgery or healthcare setting as a clinic assistant, patient service associate, healthcare assistant or similar
Practical clinical support skills: vital signs, aseptic technique, chaperoning, instrument handling and infection control
Hands-on experience with at least one clinic management or EMR system, and confidence learning a new one quickly
Proficient in insurance claims, from letters of guarantee and pre-authorisation to rejections, resubmissions and outstanding balances
Working knowledge of MediSave, MediShield Life and CHAS submission, or the ability to pick it up fast
Demonstrated ownership of stock or inventory duties
Accurate with numbers and records; comfortable reconciling cash and claims daily
Fluent written and spoken English
Dependable, discreet with confidential information, and calm with anxious or in-pain patients

Desirable

A second language commonly spoken by our patients (Mandarin, Malay or Tamil)
Valid BCLS and AED certification (we will sponsor this if you do not hold it)
Exposure to orthopaedics, sports medicine, pain management, physiotherapy or musculoskeletal practice
Experience assisting with injections, minor procedures, shockwave or ultrasound-guided work
Familiarity with HCSA licensing requirements and MOH clinic inspection readiness
Experience opening a new clinic or working in an early-stage practice

The basic salary is set according to experience, certification and claims and clinic-system proficiency, and is reviewed annually. In addition:

Annual leave of up to 14 days depending on grade and length of service, plus full statutory sick, hospitalisation and parental leave
Sponsored certification and paid course time for role-relevant training, including BCLS and AED renewal
Employer CPF contributions in accordance with the CPF Act

Final terms are set out in the individual employment contract. Benefit levels are subject to prevailing company policy.

You will be one of the first people in a clinic that is being built from scratch, working directly alongside the doctor rather than several layers away from clinical work.
